For every class and both factions on the Global release.
Blacksmithing makes longswords, greatswords, daggers, maces and guards, from Orichalcum gear up to the True, White and Wise / Star, Dark and Ebony Dragon Lord pieces. This guide covers what each proficiency level unlocks, how fast it levels, how likely each craft is to succeed, and what a Dragon Lord weapon costs.
Craft your True / Star Dragon Lord weapon at Professional 50. It succeeds 94% of the time there, against 67.5% when it unlocks at Professional 5, and a failed craft loses everything in it, including an Artisan's Splendent weapon worth about 20,000,000 Kina. The upgrades after it never fail and need no proficiency.
What each proficiency level unlocks
Proficiency runs from Novice 1 to 50, then Professional 1 to 50. Each rank stops at 50 until you craft its hammer. Success runs from a recipe's chance when it unlocks to its chance at Professional 50.
| Proficiency | Recipe | Success |
|---|---|---|
| Novice 1 | 95.2–99.2% | |
| Novice 3 | 74.0–93.1% | |
| Novice 15 | 76.8–94.6% | |
| Novice 30 | 79.6–96.8% | |
| Novice 50 | – | |
| Professional 1 | 95.2–99.2% | |
| Professional 5 | 67.5–94.0% | |
| Professional 15 | 95.2–98.8% | |
| Professional 30 | 95.2–98.0% | |
| Professional 50 | – | |
| None | Always |
The Dragon Lord guard's success runs 5 levels behind the weapons' and ends at 92.7%. The Professional Blacksmith's Hammer leads to the next rank, which isn't on Global yet.

How proficiency levels up
Novice 1 to 50 takes 8,809 XP, and Professional 1 to 50 another 82,680, nine times as much.

- Craft one at a time. Ten single ingots give 200 XP; one batch of 10 gives 112.
- A failed craft still pays about 30% of the XP, and a Splendent result about 130%.
- Old recipes keep paying full XP, at least up to Novice 50. Orichalcum weapons take you from Novice 3 to 50 in about 105 successful crafts.
These XP figures are a Korean player's measurements, and we checked the ingot's in game. The Fine Thick and Fine Hard Horns and the Dragon Lord crafts haven't been measured yet.
Success rates, and why to wait for Professional 50
Your True / Star Dragon Lord craft's chance rises with every few levels, more slowly the higher you go:
| Proficiency | Weapon | Guard | XP from Professional 1 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional 5 | 67.5% | – | 2,522 |
| Professional 10 | 74.1% | 67.5% | 6,138 |
| Professional 15 | 79.0% | 74.1% | 10,394 |
| Professional 20 | 83.4% | 79.0% | 15,475 |
| Professional 25 | 86.2% | 83.4% | 21,671 |
| Professional 30 | 88.6% | 86.2% | 29,324 |
| Professional 35 | 90.5% | 88.6% | 38,779 |
| Professional 40 | 92.0% | 90.5% | 50,456 |
The last ten levels cost 32,224 XP, and four of them add nothing to the weapon:
| Proficiency | Weapon | Guard | XP to the next level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional 40 | 92.03% | 90.47% | 2,645 |
| Professional 41 | 92.36% | 90.59% | 2,761 |
| Professional 42 | 92.44% | 90.97% | 2,879 |
| Professional 43 | 92.44% | 91.49% | 3,002 |
| Professional 44 | 92.67% | 91.49% | 3,133 |
| Professional 45 | 92.67% | 92.03% | 3,268 |
| Professional 46 | 93.18% | 92.36% | 3,406 |
| Professional 47 | 93.66% | 92.44% | 3,556 |
| Professional 48 | 93.66% | 92.44% | 3,709 |
| Professional 49 | 94.01% | 92.67% | 3,865 |
| Professional 50 | 94.01% | 92.67% | – |
Still level to 50. A failed True / Star craft costs its whole recipe, Artisan's Splendent weapon included: on average a weapon uses 1.48 of them at Professional 5, 1.09 at 40 and 1.06 at 50. The ranks after Professional add about 0.1% a level and stop at 94.6%.
Great success: the Splendent version
Each gear craft that succeeds has a 25% chance of a great success, which then rolls its own chance to give the Splendent version. For Orichalcum, Expert's and Artisan's gear that second roll is the craft's own success rate. For the True / Star weapon it is 80.1% at Professional 5 and 97.3% at 50, so about 23% of your crafts at 50 come out Splendent.
Artisan's Splendent weapons
Every Dragon Lord craft takes an Artisan's Splendent weapon or guard of the same kind, so an Wise / Ebony weapon takes three. Each Splendent piece is a great success from the tier below it: an Artisan's Splendent comes from an Artisan's craft, which uses up an Expert's Splendent, which uses up a Splendent Orichalcum piece.
Buy them, at about 20,000,000 Kina each on the Market (21 October), or make your own: the crafts for three are enough XP for Professional 50.
Level to Professional 50 by making your own
The crafts for three Artisan's Splendent weapons and the horns your Dragon Lord weapon needs, rounded up to whole crafts:
| Craft | Crafts | XP |
|---|---|---|
| 827 | 16,442 | |
| 273 | 23,095 | |
| 59 | 14,470 | |
| 13 | 8,139 | |
| 34 | 12,945 | |
| 45 | 17,086 | |
| 42 | 15,858 | |
| Total | 1,293 | 108,035 |
Novice 1 to Professional 50 takes 91,489. The XP counts failures at 30% and Splendent results at 130%, and the horns at the Fine Durable's 383 each; without the horns the rest reaches about Professional 41.
- Level Novice on ingots and Orichalcum weapons, one at a time, and craft the Novice Blacksmith's Hammer as soon as you reach Novice 50.
- Make each tier once it's at its best: Orichalcum weapons from Novice 47 (93.1%), Expert's from Professional 7 (94.6%), Artisan's from Professional 30 (96.8%). The counts above assume those rates.
- Craft each horn as it unlocks: Fine Thick at Professional 1, Fine Hard at 15, Fine Durable at 30.
- Craft the True / Star weapon at Professional 49 or 50, from the first Artisan's Splendent.

Plus a hammer for each horn. The Expert's Refining Stones are the hard part: see the Refining Stone guide for where they come from. If you can't get 295, buy some of the Artisan's Splendent weapons and level on the rest.

On top: 15 Artisan's Ultimate Refining Stones, 37 Radiant Orichalcum Ore and the horns (33 Fine Thick, 44 Fine Hard, 41 Fine Durable). Each failed True / Star craft at Professional 50, one in 17, adds a fourth Artisan's Splendent and the rest of that recipe.

Each Balaur Horn takes 2 Balaur's Essence and the hammer of its grade: Zircon for Fine Thick, Lazuli for Fine Hard, Moonstone for Fine Durable. The Wrathful materials are rare from Conquest, so most crafters buy them on the Market; see the Conquest guide for what else a claim pays.
Sources: Global client data (craft tables read from launcher version 26 and checked against version 31 on 21 October 2026) for the recipes and their unlock levels (CraftRecipe), each recipe's success at every proficiency level and the great-success chances (CraftRecipeRate), the XP each level needs (CraftMastery), and the Conquest rewards (RewardPackage, RewardPackageItem); averages multiply the attempts each step needs by its success and great-success chances. XP per craft: a Korean player's tests on Inven, checked on Global for the ingot, failures, Splendent results and batches. Checked in game on our own characters: a failed craft loses its materials, and the great success rolls separately. Market prices are from 21 October (the Radiant Odyle from 16 October). Item levels of the White / Dark pieces are from SenseOS. Our calls: craft the Dragon Lord weapon at Professional 50, judged on the failure cost above, and level by making your own Artisan's Splendent pieces, judged on the XP each craft pays; the craft counts chain whole crafts from 13 Artisan's attempts at each tier's best success.
