Aion 2 Odyle Farming Guide: Where to Gather and What It Pays

By nZ4Y9Fw · From the Global client, launcher version 26, and our own play · Updated

Odyle is a gathering material in four grades: Odyle, Fine Odyle, Pure Odyle and Radiant Odyle. One hour of it in Lower Reshanta paid us about 2,820,000 Kina at Market prices, on a faction that is losing the Abyss. At that rate an alt's 7 Abyss hours a week come to about 19,700,000. It isn't the Odyle Energy that Conquest and Transcendence claims cost, but Substance Morph turns it into that. Members sell it on the Market; free players can't, so they morph it.

Where to gather

Gather in Lower Reshanta, in the Abyss, on your alts. Keep your main's Abyss hours for PvP, such as sieges, Commands and world bosses, if you do it. Odyle nodes give the same four grades everywhere, but only in the Abyss does your flight never run out, so you fly straight from node to node. At home, flight time limits you.

  • Where: the 11 spots below, grouped from the 240 node positions in the game files. To zoom in, pick Odyle under Gathering on the Lower Reshanta map. Middle and Upper Reshanta have none.
  • Entry: level 45 and 1,000 gear score.
  • Time: 7 hours a week for each character, back at the weekly reset. The Abyss Points guide has the rest.
Lower Reshanta's 11 Odyle spots: each pin is a group of Odyle nodes, with the Elyos camp in the south-west and the Asmodian camp in the north-east

What an hour pays

We gathered for one hour in about the worst conditions. Our faction holds none of the three Abyss artifacts and hasn't had an Abyss Corridor for weeks, and the other faction killed us about every 2 minutes. Our gathering also went from Professional 1 to Professional 50 during that hour, so we failed more gathers than a higher-level gatherer will. On a winning faction, and at a higher gathering level, you'll gather far more.

What we gathered in the hour: 1 Radiant Odyle, 5 Pure Odyle, 36 Fine Odyle and 160 Odyle
Our faction's Abyss artifacts: Reshanta's Root, Sulfur Tree Island and Archipelago of Siel's Wings, all Unavailable

After the Market's 2% listing fee and 10% tax, the hour paid about 2,820,000 Kina, or 2,130,000 without the lucky Radiant. At that rate an alt's 7 hours a week come to about 19,700,000, or 14,900,000 with no Radiant. The prices are our server's lowest listings on 16 October, except plain Odyle, which we price at 7,777. Its lowest listing was 6,999, which makes the hour about 2,710,000. Odyle prices have climbed since bots were restricted, and they differ by server, so check yours over the last 28 days.

The Market's lowest listings on 16 October: Radiant Odyle 785,000, Pure Odyle 178,000, Fine Odyle 7,900 and Odyle 6,999 Kina

Against a member's Conquest 2★ hour (two claims a run, about 12.5 minutes with the wait):

A member's hourKina
Conquest on your own Odyle2,880,000
Gathering Odyle, our hour2,820,000
Conquest on the shop's Odyle1,920,000
Conquest on morphed OdyleLoses Kina

So run Conquest on your own Odyle and on the shop's, and spend your alts' 7 Abyss hours gathering. The Kina guide has what Conquest pays a week.

Sell or morph

Substance Morph (Alt + H) turns 25 Odyle, 5 Fine Odyle, 1 Pure Odyle and 50,000 Kina into 40 Odyle Energy, one claim. Each character can morph 4 a week, plus 16 for the whole server.

  • Members: sell it. At our prices one morph's Odyle sells for about 362,000 after the fees, more than a Conquest 2★ claim's 300,000. Buy the Wind Breeze Merchants' Odyle Energy instead: 100,000 for 40. A claim pays more than the Odyle sells for only at Conquest 3★ (400,000, plus Fire Temple's 1.25% chances at wings and artwork) and Transcendence stages 3 and 4 (420,000 and 480,000).
  • Free players: morph it, if you have the time. You can't sell on the Market, so the morph is how your Odyle becomes Kina. A Conquest 2★ claim then leaves you 250,000 after the morph's 50,000. Pure Odyle runs out first. Our hour gave 5, enough for 5 morphs, so the 28 morphs a main and 2 alts can make each week take about 6 hours of gathering.

Sources: the Global client (launcher version 26) for the Odyle nodes, their grades and their 240 positions in Lower Reshanta (GatherSourceMaterial and the spawn groups), and Lower Reshanta's entry and weekly hours (ContentsTicket). Checked in game on our own characters: the hour's haul, the Market's prices, fees and tax, the morph's recipe and limits, and the artifacts; every screenshot here is ours, and the map is our interactive map. Conquest's claim values and run counts are the Kina guide's. Our calls, judged on the tables above: gather in Lower Reshanta for its unlimited flight, on alts, keeping a main's Abyss hours for PvP, members sell their Odyle and buy the shop's Odyle Energy, and free players morph what they gather.
