Aion 2 Transcendence Guide: Deus Research Base, Shattered Arkanis and Arcana Drops

By Raid Relay · From the Global client, launcher version 27 · Updated

Transcendence is where Arcana cards come from. Global has two Transcendence dungeons, Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis, each with four stages from 1,600 to 2,500 gear score. A claim costs 40 Odyle Energy and, with all three bosses killed, pays 300,000 to 480,000 Kina and 2 to 4.5 Arcana cards; at stage 4, one of them is Unique on average. An S rank on one stage opens the next, and the only weekly limit is your server's 10 unclaimed cubes.

Run the highest stage you can clear with an S rank, in the dungeon that drops the cards you're missing. Stage 4 pays about one Unique card a claim, five times stage 3, and 3 claims in 4 drop at least one. Deus Research Base drops the Bell and Compass, Shattered Arkanis the Mirror and Parchment, and both drop the Chalice.

To open a stage, you need its gear score and an S rank on the stage before it. Only your first S counts, so once a stage is open it stays open.

  • Balance: an elite (tier 3 or stronger) leaves a zone where it dies that raises monsters' damage and hurts you. Kill elites away from where you'll fight next.
  • Poison Blood: the same zone, but it heals the monsters in it.
  • Wrath: ordinary enemies hit harder once they're below half HP. Finish them fast.
  • Elevation: when an ordinary enemy dies, the ones near it hit harder. Pull smaller packs.
  • Judgment: each boss hit stacks a mark that explodes, hurting everyone near you by their HP. Spread out.
  • Tolerance: bosses' stagger bars are bigger. Save your stagger skills for the checks.

How a run works

  • 2 to 5 players, level 45. Entry is free; you pay at the reward cube.
  • Two mid-bosses, a kill quota, then the final boss. The final boss's door opens once the party's kills reach the quota. A mid-boss counts 45 and most other enemies 2.
  • The final boss frenzies at 5 minutes: it moves, casts and hits faster. A slow group meets it.
  • Clear time and kills set your rank, from S down, and the rank adds season ranking points. One observed Global S: a stage 2 Shattered Arkanis clear in 13:12, with three deaths.
StageDeus Research Base quotaShattered Arkanis quota

4150170

Kill both mid-bosses. Together they count 90 toward the quota, so you need only 10 to 40 more enemies, and each adds its own Kina and drops to your cube.

Weekly limits

  • No weekly claim limit. Odyle Energy is the only cap: its own regeneration pays for 21 claims a week, and the Kina guide has the ways to buy more.
  • Claim every cube. A cleared run you leave without claiming uses one of your server's 10 unclaimed cubes a week (the Remaining Unobtained Cube Count). At 0, none of your characters can enter Conquest or Transcendence until Wednesday's reset.
  • A wipe costs only time. The boss resets and you go again; no Odyle Energy and no count is used.
  • Kina drops after 55 runs. Past 55 runs a week on your server, cubes pay less Kina (see the Kina guide).

Send a runner ahead

Send one player, usually your lowest-damage DPS, ahead of the group to bind the Kibelisks near the second and last bosses while the other four clear the quota. Once a Kibelisk is bound you can teleport to it, so after each boss the party teleports on instead of walking. In Deus Research Base the runner can also pull the two levers that switch off the lasers on the way.

Deus Research Base has four Kibelisks, in order: Deus Research Base Entrance, Collapsed Sky Island, Pseudo-Odyle Workshop and Deus Research Base Top Floor.

Rewards: what a claim pays

Clear the final boss and your Odyle Energy Cube appears. Opening it costs 40 Odyle Energy, and it pays for the final boss and each mid-boss you killed, each rolling its own drops. Everyone in the party claims their own cube. With membership you can pay 40 again to claim a second time.

Every claim, at every stage:

Soul Codex (Bound)1–4

By stage: the Kina, then averages a claim of Amplify Stone Fragments (Unique) and Lesser Manastones or Soulstones, all Bound. Stages 3 and 4 add 0.2 Intermediate Manastones or Soulstones a claim.

321.50.750.24.45

These are averages, not chances. The chance of at least one Unique card in a claim is about 19% at stage 3 and 74% at stage 4. The final boss pays about three times as many cards as a mid-boss.

Where your Odyle goes. Per claim, stage 2 pays 360,000 Kina against Conquest 2★'s 300,000, and stages 3 and 4 pay more than Conquest 3★'s 400,000. Only Transcendence drops Arcana. The Kina guide has the run that pays most at each gear score.

Arcana drops by dungeon

Chalice Bell Compass Mirror Parchment
DungeonCards
Deus Research BaseChalice, Bell, Compass
Shattered ArkanisChalice, Mirror, Parchment

The Chalice raises mastery skills, the Bell and Mirror passive skills, the Compass and Parchment active skills: 1, 2, 3 or 4 skill levels from Common to Unique, and 20, 40, 60 or 80 gear score. Each card comes as Vigor or Magic, half the drops each, for the Primal Vigor and Magic Armor sets.

Cards per 10 claims, by card and grade (the other cards are each of the dungeon's own two):

Unique0002.5

Rare13.85.65.6
Epic012.85.6
Unique0013.8

Fill all five slots at stage 1, then replace them as better grades drop: stage 1 gives about 8 of each of the dungeon's own cards and 5 Chalices every 10 claims. From stage 3 the Commons are all Chalices: feed them to the cards you keep. A Unique Chalice drops only at stage 4, one claim in four, which is why the gear score guide crafts the Chalice first.

Deus Research Base: route and bosses

Route: first Gelcos, then Nazmun, then fill the quota in the large arena and go to the centre for Atiel. The sizes and warning times below are the game's own; a warning is how long the marker shows on the floor before the hit.

Gelcos

  • Marked player: he marks one player, dashes at them twice and then leaps at them. Each dash knocks down, and the hit after it leaves an electric field for the rest of the fight. The marked player dodges each dash and baits the field away from the middle.
  • Pull and whip: he pulls everyone within 25 metres to him, then whips 280° around him out to 17 metres: only his back is safe. Get behind him as soon as the pull lands; his normal swings cleave in front too.
  • Vortex: his biggest area attack hits within 10 metres (1.2 seconds' warning), then in a ring out to 25 metres (1.5 seconds). Run more than 25 metres away.

Nazmun

  • Lasers, first: turrets sweep laser lines 20 metres long and 2 metres wide across the arena, marked 2 seconds ahead. The tank pulls Nazmun to the far end of the arena, where only one laser reaches.
  • Three-hit line attack: aimed at the tank. Block or dodge each.
  • High Voltage Electric Current Zone: a bomb set on the tank, later on two players, that goes off 3 seconds later and hits everyone near them. The target walks away from the group.
  • Bomb Drop: a 3-metre circle, marked 1 second ahead, on a player within 5 metres.

Atiel

  • Grab: a 9-metre lunge in front of him that holds one player for 4 seconds and smashes them down. Watch for the wind-up and dodge it.
  • Frontal fan: 25 metres deep and 120° wide, marked 2 seconds ahead.
  • Tether and soak, his killer: he pulls the party in, links the tank to another player and roots a third for 5.4 seconds.
    • Nonsynonymous Unity: the linked pair take damage until they run far enough apart to break the link.
    • Share the hit: everyone else stacks on the rooted player inside the 7-metre circle, marked 3 seconds ahead. If you ran to break the link, dash back to the stack; shields and potions carry the rest.

The shared hit takes a share of each player's max HP, set by how many stand in the circle. Alone, it kills:

Players in the circleDamage to each
1500% of max HP
280%
370%
460%
530%
  • Waves: two rings sweep the floor, the first from 35 to 60 metres out from the centre, the second from 25 to 35, each marked 2 seconds ahead after a 5-second cast, pushing you toward the edge. A spot a wave has just hit is safe from the next: sidestep left and right, and keep off the edge.
  • Charges: he dashes along straight lines 70 and 50 metres long and 6 metres wide, marked 2 seconds ahead.
  • Morphic World, last: a 10-second cast. Break Atiel's guard (his stagger bar) before it ends, or the party wipes. Circle him and keep up the damage, with your stagger skills saved for it.
  • Control: at some stages everyone is chained to Atiel, and anyone who strays too far takes damage. Stay close until the chains fade. NoBS's stage 2 clear doesn't show it.

Shattered Arkanis: route and bosses

Route: first Siliator of Deceit, then Ruthilis of Pain, then the quota, then Talisra of the Void. The runner binds the two Kibelisks near the second and last bosses, so after each kill the party teleports on. On NoBS's stage 1 runs the others had killed about 40 enemies by then, enough for the quota.

Siliator of Deceit

  • Chasing chakrams: two players get a red line, and a chakram follows each. Lead them into each other, standing close in an X, so they collide and vanish. A chakram that hits you kills almost at once.
  • Thrown and recalled chakrams: he throws chakrams at every player and then around the arena, and calls them back. Stack and move as one, or find a gap and keep a dodge for the return.
  • Big red circle: a 10-metre circle on one player, marked 2 seconds ahead. Take it away from the party. Its Chain of Torment cuts your Damage Tolerance by 30% a stack, up to 3 stacks, for 10 seconds.
  • Front strike, then donut: a 240° swing out to 6 metres (0.5 seconds' warning), then a ring from 6 to 12 metres (0.8 seconds). Melee stays at his back; ranged stands more than 12 metres away.

Ruthilis of Pain

  • Opening blast: her first attack is always a 35-metre, 90° fan toward the arena's door, marked red 2 seconds ahead. Stand away from the door before you pull, and if you die, come back in along the very edge while the floor stays.
  • Leap and donut: she jumps on the farthest player and hits around them. Be ready to dodge.
  • Red arena: the floor glows red from 6 to 50 metres around her, marked 2 seconds ahead: get underneath her. It knocks down.
  • Condensed Lightning: a 3-metre strike, marked 1 second ahead; 2 seconds after it hits a player, a ring spreads from them. Watch for rings on teammates and jump them.

Talisra of the Void

  • Cone: 22 metres deep and 120° wide, marked 1.5 seconds ahead, and lethal to stand in. It's easier to dodge close to her.
  • Wide sweep: 320° around her out to 12 metres, marked 1 second ahead. Only the slice behind her is safe.
  • Rings: a marker covers the arena, and a ring runs out and then back in. Jump it both ways.
  • Cast Fall: she raises four spears and names one in her line ("White Spear, condemn my enemies"). Break that one; leaving it ends in a party-wide blast. At the same time she leaps on the farthest player, so a ranged player baits it while the rest break the spear.
  • Beam: a player marked with a big circle is chased by a beam. Keep running.
  • Mist and Water Orbs: an 18-second cast from the middle of the arena while two kinds of orb drift to her.
    • Pick a kind for each player before the pull (white or purple; 3 and 2 in a party of five), and take only yours. Each kind vanishes when it touches the other.
    • A collected orb leaves a barrier of its kind where you stand; a mist barrier and a water barrier that touch both vanish.
    • Every orb that reaches her adds 10% to her attack for the rest of the fight.
    • Then watch her staff light up in a sequence, white or purple, and stand in that colour's barrier for each blast.
  • Crystal Prison: one player is locked for up to 15 seconds and takes damage while Refracting Spears fly at the others. Each spear that hits the crystal shortens the prison and the third breaks it, so line yours up with the crystal and dodge aside. NoBS's stage 1 clear doesn't show it.

Sources: Global client data (launcher version 26 tables, unchanged in version 27) for the dungeons and their stages, the gear-score gates, the S rank that opens the next stage, entry, the kill quotas, the Kibelisks and levers, the bosses, their levels and the 5-minute frenzy, the modifiers' names and effects, and everything a claim pays (RewardOdEnergyCube, RewardItem and RewardPackage). The cards per claim and per 10 claims are worked out from the client's drop rates, each boss rolling on its own, with all three bosses killed. Checked in game on our own characters: stage 1's 1,600 gate, the Remaining Unobtained Cube Count and no other entry count, and the weekly Kina cut. The bosses' attacks are the client's skill data: their names and effects, hit shapes and sizes, floor-warning and cast times, debuff lengths and stacks, and Atiel's shared-hit damage by party count (Skill, SkillEffectFilter, SkillEffect and SkillAbnormal tables). The order the bosses use them in, and how to answer each, follow NoBS Game Guides' Global clears of Deus Research Base (6 October 2026) and Shattered Arkanis (5 October 2026); the client doesn't say when a boss uses an attack, as the server decides it. The S-rank clear is from All Things How (StingcatKnight's run). Our calls: the highest stage you can clear with an S, the dungeon by the cards you're missing, both mid-bosses, and a runner for the Kibelisks (as in NoBS's runs).

Four stages, an S rank to open each. Short on time?

Our pilots clear the Transcendence stage you pick on your character and open every cube while you're away.
