Aion 2 Duty Quests Guide: Best Rewards, Refresh and Commands

By nZ4Y9Fw · From the Global client, launcher version 26, and our own play · Updated

For both factions on the Global release, at level 45.

Every Duty Quest pays the same 50,000 Kina and 1,000 Abyss Points, whatever its grade. What differs is its Random Reward: five items rolled when the quest is offered, and some of them are tickets and keys worth far more than the Kina.

Look at each quest's first three rewards: take the ones with a ticket or key there, leftmost first, and refresh at most 6 times a day.

How Duty Quest rewards work

  • 5 a day for the server, shared by all your characters on it ("Per Server Daily Completion").
  • Basic Rewards are the same on every quest: 1,000 Abyss Points and 50,000 Kina (Bound). Common, Rare and Epic change the task, not the pay.
  • Random Reward shows five items, and you get the first one for sure and each of the others only by chance ("Randomly receive 1 to 5"). The chance is set by the item's place in the row, not by the item:
Place in the rowChance you get it
1st100%
2nd50%
3rd33%
4th25%
5th10%

So the same ticket is worth more on the left. The % icon beside "Randomly receive 1 to 5" lists each item's chance. This quest shows a Hidden Cube key 3rd and a Nightmare Dungeon ticket 4th, so 33% and 25%:

Obtainable Rewards for Suppressing Souls: Kina 6,000 at 100%, Shade Boots 50%, Key: Hidden Cube 33%, Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Ticket 25% and 200 Natura Soul Crystals 10%, in the row's order

Which Duty Quests to pick

Look only at the first three rewards. They pay 100%, 50% and 33%; the last two pay 25% and 10%, so they rarely decide anything. About 1 quest in 5 shows one of the items below in its first three.

  1. Take every quest with a ticket or key in its first three, the leftmost first.
  2. Two in the first three beat one, unless the one is 1st.
  3. Same place: go by the item, in this order.
  4. Fill the rest of your 5 with any quest, one with a ticket or key 4th or 5th first. They all pay the same Basic Rewards.

The order of the items:

  1. Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Ticket, until you've claimed the First Clear Rewards of every Nightmare boss you can beat. Each one recharges a Nightmare Dungeon attempt.
  2. Shugo Festival Reward Key. It pays for one festival game's reward cards; see the Shugo Festival guide.
  3. Ascension Trial Challenge Ticket, if you can clear the Ascension Trial on Hard or Extreme.
  4. Unknown Fissure Challenge Ticket, an extra daily dungeon run.
  5. Key: Hidden Cube. A keyed cube pays 1,000 Soul Crystals; see the Hidden Cube guide.
  6. Small Odyle Energy, 10 Odyle Energy.

Each of them turns up at the same chance in every place:

ItemChance in each place
Small Odyle Energy2.67%
Key: Hidden Cube2.00%
Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Ticket0.67%
Shugo Festival Reward Key0.67%
Ascension Trial Challenge Ticket0.67%
Unknown Fissure Challenge Ticket0.67%

When to refresh

Daily Refresh, under the quest list, draws new quests. Refresh only when no quest has a ticket or key in its first three, at most 6 times a day. The six cost 143,500 Kina in all; the 7th alone costs 200,000, and the 10th 1,500,000.

Commands

Commands are Duty Quests you buy: a scroll from the Command Shop, from level 45, draws one quest, and it doesn't count toward your 5 a day. Its Random Reward has the same six items at the same chances in each place, and the dearer scrolls pay more of their places. Besides your region's Command, there are four grades of Latesran Root Command (Western or Eastern), which also pay Abyssal Power Shards:

ScrollKinaA week, for the serverPower ShardsRandom items, on average
Command: Altgard or Verteron15,0001202.2
Root Command15,00052002.2
Veteran37,50054002.4
Elite75,00056002.5
Special Mission150,00058003.0

Each pays 1,000 Abyss Points, and its Random Reward holds more Abyss Points where a Duty Quest's holds Kina. Altgard's Command is the Asmodians', Verteron's the Elyos'. The Latesran Root Commands send you to Chaotic Lower Reshanta, where the other faction can reach you. A Special Mission's second item always pays, its third 50% and its fourth 40%.

Pick a Command's quest the same way, by its first three rewards. Each scroll can redraw its own quest up to 10 times; redraw at most 5 times a scroll, 25,900 Kina for the five. This one has a Nightmare Dungeon ticket 1st, so it always pays: accept it.

A Latesran Root Command's quest, Secure the Black Fragment Zone: Basic Rewards 1,000 Abyss Points and 200 Abyssal Power Shards; Random Rewards a Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Ticket, 1,000 Enhance Stones, Small Odyle Energy, a Hidden Cube key and 3,000 Enhance Stones; Redraw 2/10 for 3,500 Kina

The Abyss Points guide has what Commands pay in Abyss Points a week.

Sources: the Global client's tables (launcher version 26, read 14 October 2026): the Duty Quests and Commands (Quest), their Basic Rewards (QuestReward), the Random Reward places and what each holds (RewardPackage, RewardPackageItem), the refresh and redraw costs (DutyQuestRedrawCost), the items' names and icons. Our own play: the Duty Quest list, its daily limit, each reward's chance by its place in the row (the game's Obtainable Rewards window), the Command Shop's prices and weekly limits, and a Command's redraws. Our calls, judged on these tables: the first-three rule, which items to pick first, refreshing at most 6 times a day and redrawing a Command at most 5.
